After craving a decent Paella for the entire Byron Bay trip, I managed to come across Mokha – a small, cosy restaurant. The serving sizes were absolutely massive and somehow I managed to devour the entire dish. The wine list here is quite extensive and it seems to be the place that the locals bring their dates to. A small band played whilst we ate our meals and the service was quite friendly – although having insufferable language barriers.
The main focus on this small restaurant , located on Lawson st just off the main drag, is the tapas menu. The paella was not the best I’ve had, but it was far from the worst and if I ever found myself in a state of paella need and in Byron Bay, I’d probably give this place a quick revisit.
