Shanghai Dumpling House (Melbourne CBD)

December 3, 2011

I  (and my hip pocket) have been a fan of this cheap dumpling place for a long time now. It’s a quick paced, no fuss place to eat and you can get a decent fill for under 7 dollars. It’s tucked away on Tattersalls lane between Little Bourke and Lonsdale st.

Last night we ordered spinach and prawn dumplings and the chilli oil dumplings (pictured). Both of these came out quickly, despite being dinner time on a Friday night. The chilli oil dumplings were ok, not as good as some other places I have tried but they are great for the price and service.

Some of my favourite menu items include the steamed pumpkin dumplings, prawn and spinach dumplings and the fried beef. Delish and worth a quick look in for a cheap and quick meal when in the CBD.
